Mateo Valero, Barcelona Supercomputing Center: “Barcelona will become a meeting point for the design of high-performance chips”
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center, a state-of-the-art infrastructure in Catalonia that hosts more than 700 international researchers, will join forces with US tech company Intel to build a €400M microchip design lab in Barcelona. Mateo Valero, director of the BSC, explains in this interview how this will be one of the largest labs in the world with the forecast to create 1,000 new jobs in the next five years.
 
French company Extia expands its Barcelona offices with the forecast of creating 40 jobs next year
The tech company has moved to its new 1,600 square meter office in the 22@ district in Barcelona and expects to reach 100 workers throughout 2023.
